3 weeks to organize an Entrepreneurship Festival and create your own socially impacting event within it? Possible!

Our own sustainable food event was entitled The Food Interview, and the aim was to enable ou participants to experience the consequences of the way they consumed.
To do so, we first made a recipe wall so people could put one recipe and take one before beginning the experience. Then, we organized an imaginary interview where people were blindfolded and had to taste 3 different dishes with 2 similar products for each: a local one and an industrial one from DIA. They had to determine which product they preferred.
After their choice, we made them experience the consequences of their hiring choice, in reality the way they consumed (see experiences below*). After this, we showed them and explained them the resumes of the food, show them a small video we made to explained easily the impact of local food.
In the end, they were able to chat with Santos, the producer and Khrystyna, the responsible of La Colmena que dice si (La Ruche qui dit oui) and try some more local products (cheese, milk, jam,...).
* Experiences:
- according to their choice about the 1st product→ weigh a light bag VS a suitcase
“This corresponds to the weight of C02 to get the product they hired here”
- according to their choice about 2nd product→ put a coin in one jar or the other
“This is where you just put your money (help a CEO build his 3rd house or help a simple family with their children’s education)”
- according to their choice about 3rd product→ make 3 steps VS riding the bicycle of the energy team
“This how far it comes from. He’s asking for a full-paid trip to see his family every month.”
The event went well but was designed for an average of 40 people and we had more than 50 people coming, so we were really happy !
